Women's volleyball falls at home to Thomas More

Saints triumph over Yellow Jackets in 3-0 match

WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Oct. 15) – The Waynesburg University women's volleyball team suffered a 3-0 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) loss to Thomas More on Saturday night at the Rudy Marisa Fieldhouse.
 
Set scores from the contest were 25-11, 25-21, 25-17 in favor of the visiting Saints, whose PAC record improved to 9-4 on the season. Thomas More is now 14-9 overall, while Waynesburg falls to 8-13 for the year and 2-11 in conference competition.

Waynesburg was led on the night by the middle hitter combo of sophomore Mabel Culp and senior Lauren Wagner, who tallied a team-high seven kills each. Senior outside hitter Carly Schubert chipped in six kills, while sophomore setter Natalie Ranallo piled up 22 assists on the evening. Junior Presley Cupp notched a team-best 15 digs in the loss, while Wagner completed a double-double with 11 digs.
 
The Jackets will try to snap out of a seven-match losing streak on Wednesday, Oct.19, when Geneva, the top team in the PAC, comes to Waynesburg for a 7 p.m. contest.
