Women's cross country concludes regular seasons

Paul leads Yellow Jackets at Oberlin

OBERLIN, Ohio (Oct. 15) – The Waynesburg University women's cross country team was back in action on Saturday as the Yellow Jackets took part in the Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble, which was the team's final regular season race of the year.
 
The Yellow Jackets finished in 20th place out of 33 teams competing. As she has done all season, sophomore Bre Paul led Waynesburg with a team-best performance. The second-year standout placed a team-best 50th with a time of 23:47.7. Freshman Joy Talbott was the next Wayneburg runner to complete the race with a 90th-place 24:42.7. The team's top three was completed by junior Megan Donovan, who recorded a 105th-place performance (24:55.9).
 
Top team honors went to the host team from Oberlin. Second place laurels went to Case Western Reserve, while the third-place spot was earned by DePauw. Albion freshman Lauren Kettle was the individual medalist of the day with a time of 22:23.6. Case senior Natalie Cabrera finished second after crossing the finish line in 22:24.5, while the bronze went to Kenyon's Jenna Willett, who put up a time of 22:25.8.  
 
With the regular season wrapped up, Waynesburg turns its attention to the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championships, which will be hosted by Westminster College on Saturday, Oct. 29.
