WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Oct. 22) – A powerful Thomas More volleyball team came to town Saturday morning and dealt the Yellow Jackets a 3-0 loss at the Rudy Marisa Fieldhouse.
The Saints took the match by the set scores of 25-15, 25-19, 25-14. The loss dropped Waynesburg to 8-14 on the season and 2-12 in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) play. Thomas More improved to 16-9 overall and 11-4 in PAC action.
The Jackets were led by senior
Lauren Wagner and sophomore
Mabel Culp, who both tallied a team-high six kills. Fellow sophomore
Natalie Ranallo piled up a team-best 20 assists, while junior libero Presley Culp racked up 18 digs.
Waynesburg returns to action on Tuesday, as they host the Thiel Tomcats at 7 p.m.
