NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. (Oct. 29) – Though they were unable to unseat Grove City, which won its 25
th-straight team title, the Waynesburg University women's cross country team put together a terrific effort at the 2011 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championships, which were hosted by Westminster College on Saturday. Thanks to four all-conference performances, the Yellow Jackets placed second behind the Wolverines, their highest finish since 2008.

Sophomore
Bre Paul led the quartet with her second-straight second-team All-PAC showing. She crossed the finish line in 24:46.4, which was good for ninth place. Junior Megan Donovan also notched her second career second-team All-PAC lauding after finishing in 11
th place with a time of 25:06.5. Honorable mention all-conference accolades went to freshman Joy Talbott (15
th place, 25:27.3) and senior
Michelle Naymick (19
th place, 25:39.6).
As previously mentioned, Grove City completed a quarter-century of titles by putting up a team score of 38 points. Waynesburg followed with 83 points, and Westminster completed the top three squads with 103 points. Individual medalist honors went to Saint Vincent senior Ivette Mejia for the second-straight season with a time of 22:33.20. Washington & Jefferson's Kristen Galligan placed second (23:42.30) and Bethany's Joanna Mongelluzzo took the bronze with a time of 24:08.30.
The Waynesburg women return to action on Nov. 11, when they travel to Center Valley, Pa. to take part in the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional Championships.
