Evans went 5-0 this past weekend with four pins and a major decision. After pinning Thomas More’s Ahmad Hameidan in 1:33 during Friday’s dual win, he went 4-0 during Saturday’s Waynesburg Invitational. A pair of first-period pins in his first two bouts of the day advanced him to the semifinals.  Evans picked up a win by major decision to reach the finals at 285 pounds, where he took the crown with another fall.
