Perone played a major role in Waynesburg's 24-21 homecoming win over Carnegie Mellon on Saturday. He completed 22-of-41 passes for 222 yards and a touchdown with no interceptions. He also rushed seven times for 18 yards and another score and punted twice, averaging 32 yards per kick and dropping one kick inside the two-yard-line. The victory, Waynesburg’s third-straight, was the Jackets at 3-3 on the season and 3-2 in the PAC. The Jackets are currently enjoying their longest winning streak since 2014.
