Freshman women’s basketball player Haley Porter (Belmont, Ohio / Union Local) was nearly unstoppable from three-point range during Waynesburg’s 81-74 loss to Washington & Jefferson on Wednesday. She knocked down eight three pointers, which left her one short of tying the school record of nine that was set most recently in 2003. Porter tallied a game-high 27 points on the evening by knocking down nine-of-13 field goals, 11 of which were from beyond the arc. She averaged 18.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists per contest on the week.
