Senior linebacker Tyler Smith (Poland, Ohio / Poland) capped another outstanding effort on the football field with a game-saving play during Homecoming. With Waynesburg clinging to a 14-13 lead over Thiel, the Tomcats lined up to attempt a game-tying extra point. Smith managed to penetrate the middle of the line and block the kick, preserving the one-point advantage and the victory.
