Freshman Rocky McGeary not only rolled to the 2020 PAC heavyweight title this past weekend, but he did so with a win by major decision and a pin. After clinching the 285-pound crown, the first-year standout was named PAC Newcomer of the Year and PAC Most Outstanding Wrestler. Heading into the NCAA Division III Southeast Regional Championships on Friday, Feb. 28, McGeary is ranked eighth in the country by D3Wrestle.com and sixth by Intermat. He enters the postseason with a 34-3 overall record and a 21-0 mark in bonus point matches.
