Waynesburg University Athletics

Junior wrestler Colby Morris (Waynesburg, Pa. / Waynesburg Central) won the 174-pound weight class at The New Standard Invitational, which was hosted by York (Pa.) on Friday and Saturday. He went 4-0 with four hard-fought victories coming by decision. Morris never allowed more than three points in any of his bouts on his way to the title. Morris took the crown after upsetting top seeded Reid Colella of The College of New Jersey 6-3. Colella went into the tournament as a "Contender" for the D3Wrestle.com national top 10. He is now 8-0 on the season and was named PAC Wrestler of the Week.
