Rookie softball standout Autumn Stemple (Morgantown, W.Va. / University) recorded the first no-hitter in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) playoffs since 2003 during Waynesburg’s 1-0 win over Allegheny on Friday, May 5. Stemple’s performance was made all the more impressive by the fact that Waynesburg itself was being no-hit by the Gators until the bottom of the sixth, when it finally broke through for the game’s only run. Stemple allowed three walks and struck out eight in her most recent win. She was named second-team All-PAC on Tuesday.
