The men's track & field team was led at Friday's Youngstown State University Icebreaker presented by Southwoods Health by freshman Darrius Mason (La Plata, Md. / La Plata), who blazed across the finish line in his 60-meter qualifying sprint with a time of 6.99 seconds. That mark tied him for second place out of 94 runners who completed the race and tied him for the second-fastest time in program history. He outdid himself in the preliminary round by placing 12^th with a mark of 6.98 seconds. Mason just missed out on being the only Division III runner to make the finals in the 60 meters by .08 seconds.

He also posted a time of 23.75 seconds in the 200 meters.
