WAYNESBURG (Oct. 12) – The Yellow Jackets were swept, 9-0, by Grove City Thursday afternoon in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) action.

The loss drops Waynesburg University 5-8 on the season and 3-2 in league play, while Grove City moves 10-2 overall and 6-0 in conference play.

The Wolverines, who have won 20-straight conference titles, started the match with a sweep of doubles play. The closest match in doubles was at the No. 2 position where sophomores Allie Horochak and Jess Mally loss to Kait Garcia and Chris Sage, 8-5.

Grove City continued the momentum into singles action, sweeping all six matches in straight sets.

The Yellow Jackets conclude their regular season on Tuesday, Oct. 16, with a road match against conference-rival Bethany College. First serve is set for 4 p.m.
