BEREA, Ohio (Nov. 10) – The Yellow Jackets opened dual competition Saturday with a 38-18 loss to Case Western Reserve University at the Baldwin-Wallace College quad match at the Rudolph Ursprung Gymnasium in the Lou Higgins Center.
Two of the three Waynesburg victories came via decision, while the other was by forfeit.
Freshman
Josh Boyle won the first dual match of his career with a 7-4 victory over junior Jonathan Howell at 133-pounds.
Fellow freshman Jason King also earned a win against the Spartans after defeating freshman Ray Lonardo, 5-2, at 184-pounds.
Sophomore
Rich Janicki rounded out the Yellow Jacket winners after earning the victory at the heavyweight division via forfeit.
Waynesburg is schedule to face the College of Mount St. Joseph (Ohio) and host Baldwin-Wallace later today.
