GRANTHAM, Pa. (Nov. 17) – The Waynesburg University wrestling team lost its third-straight match at the Messiah Duals after falling to Lycoming, 48-3, Saturday.
Sophomore heavyweight
Melvin Warrick earned the lone win for the Yellow Jackets with a 9-2 decision over freshman Alex Bause.
Waynesburg was also close to winning two matches in the middleweight divisions, losing both by one-point decisions. Freshman
Bobby Holt suffered a 3-2 loss to sophomore James Dolak at 165-pounds, while fellow freshman Jason King dropped a 3-2 decision to sophomore Justin Waycaster at 174-pounds.
The Yellow Jackets are idle next weekend and return to action on Saturday, Dec. 1, when they compete at the 42nd-annual Rochester Institute of Technology (R.I.T.) Invitational.
