LATROBE, Pa. (Sept. 1) – Outside hitters Laurie Lindner and Ashley Kreinbrook each posted a team-high 12 kills to lead Waynesburg to a 3-0 (30-22, 30-24, 30-15) sweep of Pitt-Greensburg on Saturday morning in the Saint Vincent Bearcat Invitational.

Lindner recorded her second double-double of the weekend with 12 kills and 10 digs, while Kreinbrook added 12 kills on 29 attacks, hitting .379 for the night. Junior setters Amanda Staudt and Lindsey Garrison combined to register 34 assists and 11 digs. Freshman Rachell Storm led the Waynesburg defense with 26 digs in the match.

Waynesburg (2-2) returns to action on Friday, Sept. 7, night when it opens the two-day Defiance Tournament with a 5 p.m. match against NAIA-member Shawnee State.
