PITTSBURGH (Sept. 19) – Two days after setting a single-game school record for goals, the Yellow Jackets (2-6) suffered a 2-0 shutout loss against La Roche College on Wednesday afternoon.

The Redhawks put the first goal on the scoreboard in the 36th minute when junior forward Kurt Raymond scored off a pass from sophomore Reuben Jolo. The game remained 1-0 until Raymond netted his second goal (unassisted) of the game and seventh of the season at the 54:42-mark.

Junior goalkeeper Brad Davis allowed two goals in 90 minutes of action, registering six saves on 22 shot attempts.

The game marked the first game between the Yellow Jackets and Redhawks since September 2002 when La Roche claimed a 7-0 victory in Waynesburg.

The Yellow Jackets return to action on Saturday, Sept. 22, at 1 p.m. when they host NAIA-member Notre Dame (Ohio) College at John F. Wiley Stadium.
