Jackets suffer tough loss to W&J

Waynesburg can't hold lead, fall 3-2 to Presidents

(Oct. 16) – The Waynesburg volleyball team went back-and-forth with Washington and Jefferson on Tuesday evening.

 

After dropping the opening set of the night, the Yellow Jackets bounced back with wins in sets two and three. Unfortunately, the Jackets couldn't quite seal the deal and dropped a 3-2 decision.

 

The Presidents (12-8, 8-2) took set one by the final of 25-23 to get the evening started. Waynesburg (8-15, 4-7) rebounded with wins in sets two and three by the finals of 25-21 and 25-23.

 

The Presidents responded with the deciding wins by taking set four by a 25-23 final and set five by the score of 15-10.

 

The Yellow Jackets return to the court on Saturday, Oct. 18, for a 10 a.m. game at Thomas More.
