BEAVER FALLS, Pa. (Feb. 13) – The Waynesburg University men's basketball team was held to 14 points below its season average Wednesday night, as the Yellow Jackets suffered a 95-62 setback against Geneva College in a provisional Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) contest.
With the loss, Waynesburg drops to 8-14 overall, while Geneva evens its record at 11-11.

After trailing by double digits midway through the first half, Waynesburg cut the lead to nine points on a field goal by Clark, 24-15. Following a Golden Tornadoes timeout, Geneva made its next six shots to stretch its lead to 20 points, 38-18, with 4:28 left before halftime. The Golden Tornadoes took a 50-26 lead into the break after scoring 17 points off turnovers and shooting 53.1 percent (17-of-32) from the field.
Geneva continued to build its lead in the second half, increasing it to as many as 40 points, 86-46, with 5:25 left in the game.
A total of 13 different Golden Tornadoes' players scored in the game, led by 23 points from sophomore guard Bryan Hill. Hill shot 8-of-15 from the floor, including 7-of-14 from three-point range. Junior guard Justin Nardi finished with 17 points, while junior center Rob Whitt added 10 points and eight rebounds (six offensive) off the bench.
For the game, Geneva shot 47.2 percent (34-of-72) from the floor and made 72.0 percent (18-of-25) free-throw attempts. In comparison, Waynesburg made 35.7 percent (20-of-56) of its shots and 75.0 percent (15-of-20) from the charity stripe.
The Golden Tornadoes used their height advantage to hold a sizeable edge on the glass, out-rebounding the Yellow Jackets by a 57-23 margin. Geneva collected 26 offensive rebounds and converted them into 27 second-chance points.
Waynesburg continues its road trip on Saturday, Feb. 16, when it faces Grove City College for a 3 p.m. tip-off at the GCC Arena.
