Waynesburg volleyball team opens season with pair of wins

LATROBE, Pa. (Aug. 29 ) – The Waynesburg University volleyball team looked impressive as they picked up victories over Pitt-Greensburg and Carlow at the SVC Bearcat Challenge held at Saint Vincent College on Friday.

The Yellow Jackets beat the Bobcats 3-1 and followed that by shutting out the Celtics 3-0.

Waynesburg (2-0) will be back in action on Saturday when they face Division II Fairmont State (1-1) at 9 a.m., and follow that by squaring off with Pitt-Bradford (0-2) at 1 p.m.
