Box Score

WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Sept. 10) – After a nearly two-week hiatus, the Waynesburg women's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 match to the visiting Bobcats of Frostburg State on Wednesday night at the Rudy Marisa Fieldhouse.

The Bobcats (9-1) took the sets by the scores of 25-18, 25-20, 25-21.

Sophomore Rachell Storm led the team with 17 digs, while senior Laurie Lindner chipped in 10 of her own.

Senior Amanda Staudt was tops on the team with 22 assists, while Lindner paced the Yellow Jackets (3-2) with eight kills. Fellow senior Amanda Jo Morgan was second on the team with five kills. Staudt paced the team with a pair of service aces.

While no team likes suffering through a loss, Waynesburg will have plenty of opportunities to pick up a win this weekend as they head to Cleveland, Ohio to take part in the Case Western Reserve Tournament at Case Western Reserve University.

On Friday, Sept. 12, the Jackets will face Pitt-Bradford and Marietta. They'll follow up those two contests with a pair on Saturday, Sept. 13, against Case Western Reserve and John Carroll.
