Waynesburg opens PAC play with 3-1 loss to the Tomcats

The Tomcats (6-6) opened things up with a 25-23 win in set one and followed with a 25-16 victory in set two. The Yellow Jackets (4-7) got back into the match with a 25-23 triumph in set three, but Thiel sealed the deal with a 25-15 win in set four.

 

Waynesburg's pair of 2007 All-PAC selections, seniors Laurie Lindner and Amanda Jo Morgan, led the team with 11 and 10 kills, respectively. Lindner also led the team with 15 digs.

 

Another senior, Amanda Staudt, paced the Jackets with 37 assists and added nine digs on the night. Sophomore Julie Incerpi also had nine digs in the match.

 

The Jackets are back in PAC action this Saturday when they travel to Grove City for an all-conference tri-match with the host Wolverines and Washington and Jefferson.

Pa. (Sept. 18) – The Waynesburg volleyball team opened up Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) play this past Thursday night against Thiel and suffered a 3-1 loss at the hands of the Tomcats at the Rudy Marisa Fieldhouse.
