WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Oct. 20) – The Waynesburg University women's soccer team got a superb effort from sophomore goalkeeper Katrina Kelly, but it wasn't enough to defeat Bethany, as the Bison took a 1-0 President's Athletic Conference (PAC) contest on Tuesday night.
Kelly stopped an impressive 15 of 16 shots on goal, but had one attempt deflect off her hand on a diving save attempt in the first half that trickled into the net for the game's only goal
The lone tally of the game came from sophomore Cassie Spalding, who came into the night tied for the PAC lead in goals (11) and led the conference in total points (25).
Waynesburg returns to action on Friday, Oct. 23, when they will celebrate senior night against Thiel. The game is scheduled to get underway at 6:30 p.m.
