GROVE CITY, Pa. (Oct. 14) – The Waynesburg University women's volleyball team fell in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match at Grove City on Thursday.
The Yellow Jackets (7-16, 1-10) were swept in three sets by the Wolverines (6-15, 3-7) by the scores of 25-15, 25-16, 25-21. Junior outside hitter Jordan Barton just missed out on her fifth double-double on the season after racking up a team-high nine kills to go along with nine digs. Freshman Shayla Mitrik led Waynesburg with 15 digs. Sophomore Carly Smithyman and freshman Natalie Ranallo combined for 26 assists on the night.
Waynesburg is back in action on Saturday, Oct. 16, when it hosts Westminster for a 10 a.m. PAC showdown.
