PITTSBURGH, Pa. (Oct. 16) – The Waynesburg University women's soccer team emphatically broke out of their four-game losing streak on Saturday with a 6-0 road Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) win at Chatham.

The Yellow Jackets (7-6-2, 1-4) led just 1-0 going into halftime thanks to a goal from junior Terrin Crist in the 32nd minute. However, Waynesburg put the game away with five second-half scores scored by five different players. Senior Danielle Danhires, freshman Susie Godwin, senior Sarah Spicuzza, senior Brittany Spitznogle and sophomore Heidi Weaver all found the back of the net in the final 45 minutes of play.

Spicuzza, senior Amy Macurdy and junior keeper Katrina Kelly tallied an assist each on the day. Kelly also made four saves during 74:50 of action in net.

Waynesburg out-shot the Cougars (4-10, 1-4) 42 to seven on the day.

The Jackets will try to keep their winning ways going this Tuesday, when they host Grove City for a critical PAC matchup. The game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
