WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Oct. 28) – The Waynesburg University volleyball team fell 3-0 to Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) rival Thiel on Thursday night at the Rudy Marisa Fieldhouse.
The Yellow Jackets dropped their home finale by the set scores of 25-11, 25-21, 25-18. Freshman outside hitter Katelyn Blaich paced the Jackets (8-20, 2-13) in kills with eight, while classmate Shayla Mitrik notched a team-high 15 digs. The setter combination of sophomore Carly Smithyman and freshman Natalie Ranallo tallied a combined 21 assists in the match.
The Yellow Jackets wrap up their season on Saturday when they travel to New Wilmington, Pa. to face PAC foe Thomas More.
