NORTH HILLS, Pa. (Sept. 13) – The Waynesburg University women's volleyball team got back on the winning track on Monday when it swept La Roche 3-0 in a road non-Presidents' Athletic Conference match.
The Yellow Jackets (3-4) downed the Redhawks by the set scores of 25-18, 25-19 and 25-23. All three of the Jackets' victories have been by 3-0 scores.
Junior outside hitter Jordan Barton racked up a team-high 11 kills, while freshman setter Natalie Ranallo led the Jackets with 16 assists. The Waynesburg defense was led by first-year standout Shayla Mitrik, who piled up a team-best 15 digs.
The Yellow Jackets will try to keep their winning ways going on Wednesday, Sept. 15, when they return to Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) play with a road match at Washington & Jefferson.
