Women's tennis christens new home facility

Yellow Jackets drop 8-1 match to Frostburgh State

Box Score

WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Sept. 14) – The Waynesburg University women's tennis team fell by the final score of 8-1 against Frostburg State on Tuesday.

Waynesburg (1-2) picked up it's only point of the match at second doubles, where the junior combo of Jessica Kody and Kelsey Diesel took a hard-fought 8-5 decision.

Though they were unable to take down the Bobcats, it was still a big day for the Yellow Jacket program, as they played their first match on their brand new six-court facility, which is located just to the west of Waynesburg.

The Jacket women return to their new home on Thursday, Sept. 16, when they host perennial Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) powerhouse Grove City for their first conference match.
