BEAVER FALLS, Pa. (Sept. 23) – The Waynesburg women's tennis team dropped a 7-2 match at Geneva College on Thursday afternoon.

The Yellow Jackets (2-4) picked up a doubles win and a singles win against the Golden Tornadoes (4-4). Waynesburg's first win of the day came at third doubles where freshman Logan McDonald teamed with junior Jenny McAndrews to post an 8-4 triumph. The Jackets' victory in the solo ranks came courtesy of junior Jessica Kody, who recorded a 6-0, 6-2 win at third singles.

The trip to Geneva marked the first of three-straight days of competition. On Friday, Sept. 24, Waynesburg and Washington & Jefferson will meet up in Waynesburg to finish their Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match that they started on Sept. 8 in Washington. The fifth singles match will be completed in a one-set contest. The next day, the Jackets will host another PAC foe, Westminster, for an 11 a.m. match.
