Women's volleyball drops road match at Bethany

Yellow Jackets suffer 3-0 loss to PAC-leading Bison

BETHANY, W.Va. (Oct. 13) – The Waynesburg women's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to Bethany during Thursday's Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) matchup.
 
The Bison (23-2, 10-1) took the match by the set scores of 25-22, 25-20, 25-15. The Yellow Jackets (8-12, 2-10) were led by sophomore Amanda Silay, who led the team with six kills on the evening. Seniors Jordan Barton and Lauren Wagner added five successful attacks each.
 
Junior Carly Smithyman piled up a team-best 19 assists for the Jackets, while classmate Presley Cupp recorded a squad-best 13 digs.
 
The Jackets will look to return to their winning ways on Saturday, Oct. 15, when Thomas More comes to the Rudy Marisa Fieldhouse for a PAC showdown. Match start time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
