Women's volleyball falls at home to Geneva

Yellow Jackets drop 3-0 match to Golden Tornadoes

WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Oct. 19) – The Waynesburg University women's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 home match to Geneva College on Wednesday night.
 
The Yellow Jackets (8-14, 2-12) fell by the set scores of 25-17, 25-17, 25-22 to the Golden Tornadoes (18-7, 13-1), who are in first place in the PAC. Sophomore middle hitter Mabel Culp led the Waynesburg offense with a team-high seven kills. Senior middle hitter Lauren Wagner added five kills to the evening.
 
Sophomore Natalie Ranallo enjoyed a strong all-around performance with a team-high 18 assists, 15 digs and three service aces. Junior Presley Cupp recorded a quad-best 16 digs.
 
Waynesburg is back in action on Saturday, Oct. 22, when the Yellow Jackets return to PAC play with a road match at Washington & Jefferson. Start time is scheduled for 12 p.m.
