Women's tennis drops tough road match at Bethany

Yellow Jackets fall 5-4 to Bison

BETHANY, W.Va. (Oct. 6) – The Waynesburg University women's tennis team travelled to Bethany to take on the Bison in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match on Thursday.
 
Unfortunately, the Yellow Jackets came up on the short end of a 5-4 score. The loss dropped the Jackets' overall record to 3-8 and 3-4 in conference action. Bethany improved to 8-5 on the season and 3-4 in PAC play.
 
The highlight of Waynesburg's day was three-straight singles victories at the number, three, four and five spots. Freshman Alyssa Daniel and senior Jessica Kody won in straight sets at third and fifth singles, respectively. Freshman Ellen Limback added a 6-0, 2-6, 6-4 triumph at the number-four singles spot. The Yellow Jackets' only doubles win came at the number-three spot courtesy of Limback and fellow freshman Madison DuBrock, who won 8-1.
 
The Jackets return to action on Saturday, Oct. 8, when they host Geneva for a PAC showdown. Start time is scheduled for 11 a.m.
