Women's tennis falls on the road to unbeaten Westminster

Limback takes three-set contest during 8-1 Yellow Jacket loss

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. (Oct. 5) – The Waynesburg University women's tennis team travelled to New Wilmington on Wednesday to face off with Westminster in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match.
 
The Yellow Jackets (3-7, 3-3) fell by the final score of 8-1 at the hands of the unbeaten Titans (12-0, 9-0). However, freshman Ellen Limback had a day to remember when she won a three-set victory at fourth singles by the set scores of 6-7 (3-7), 6-2, 6-4. Limback's win was the first for a Jacket player against a Titan since 2007, a span of seven matches.
 
Waynesburg returns to the courts on Thursday, Oct. 6, when the Jackets travel to Bethany to take on the Bison. Match time is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
