GROVE CITY, Pa. (Oct. 8) – The Waynesburg women's soccer team's 11-game winning streak came to an abrupt end on Saturday as the Yellow Jackets lost by the final score of 5-1 in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) matchup at Grove City.

After falling behind 2-0 just 13:45 into the game, Waynesburg (11-2, 2-1) got back into the contest thanks to senior forward Courtney Ebersole, who tallied her 13th goal of the season in the 34th minute of play to make it 2-1 Wolverines. However, Grove City (4-5-2, 2-1) rebuilt a two-goal advantage (3-1) by halftime and added a pair of second-half scores to seal up the victory.

Grove City held a massive 32-to-eight advantage in shots during the win. Jacket senior Katrina Kelly got the start in net and made 12 saves.

Waynesburg will try to shake off its first loss since Sept. 1 when the Yellow Jackets host Saint Vincent on Oct. 12. Start time is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
