WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Sept. 10) – The Waynesburg University women's tennis team hosted its first home match of the year when Goucher came to town on Saturday.
The Golden Gophers picked up an 8-1 over the Yellow Jackets (0-2) in their season opener. Though the home team was unable to pick up the victory, there was still a highlight to the day as Waynesburg freshmen
Ellen Limback and
Madison DuBrock, both earned their first collegiate wins. The first-year pair picked up an 8-3 triumph at third doubles.
The Jackets return to action on Tuesday, Sept. 13, when they travel to Greenville to face Thiel in their first Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match of the season. The contest is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
