Last Meeting: 2010 – Waynesburg 34-6
Things to Watch For
* Waynesburg is currently on a five-game winning streak against Thiel. The slimmest margin of victory over that span was a 25-20 Jacket triumph in 2007. The Tomcats' last win in the series was in 2005, which was
Rick Shepas' first year as head coach at Waynesburg. Thiel will be looking to snap a 14-game overall losing streak that was started, ironically, with a loss to Waynesburg in 2008.
* Waynesburg has found plenty of success through the air against the Tomcats in recent years. Of the top 10 all-time single-game passing records in Yellow Jacket history, two of them have come against Thiel. In 2008,
Brad Dawson went for 453 yards, the second-highest mark in program history. In 2002, Jeff Dumm logged 361 yards through the air.
* During last year's meeting, the two teams were flagged a combined 21 times for 279 yards in penalties.
