Things to Watch For
* Since 2006, Waynesburg has alternated losses and wins over the past five season-opening games. Christopher Newport has lost its last three season-opening contests.
* This past preseason, senior defensive tackle Darryl Moore Jr., senior cornerback
Sean Hunt and junior tight end
Adam Moses were all honored as All-Americans by various websites and publications. The 2011 season marks the first time that the Yellow Jackets have boasted three All-Americans on one team since the offseason between the 2007 and 2008 seasons (Mike Czerwien-postseason, D.J. DeWitt-preseason, Robert Heller-preseason). CNU boasts an All-American of its own in sophomore wide receiver/return specialist Kentel Noel.

The Captains of CNU have gone to the NCAA Division III during seven of its 10 years of existence. Though the Captains are an impressive 68-37 overall, they are just15-24 in non-conference play.
