LATROBE, Pa. (Sept. 2) - The Waynesburg University women's volleyball team moved to 2-1 on the season after splitting a pair of matches during Friday's first day of the Saint Vincent Bearcat Challenge. The Yellow Jackets took down Pitt-Greensburg in their early match by a 3-1 score, but came up short in a 3-1 match against NAIA opponent Carlow University.

The Jackets lost the first set of their match with UPG by a final score of 25-19, but bounced back to take the final three sets 25-21, 25-22, 25-19. Things started well for the Orange and Black in their late match against the Celtics as they picked up a 25-21 triumph. Unfortunately, the final three sets didn't go as well as evident by Carlow taking them all by the scores of 25-20, 25-11, 25-17.

Waynesburg is back on the court tomorrow with matches against Dickinson and Roberts Wesleyan.
