LATROBE, Pa. (Sept. 21) – The Waynesburg University women's volleyball team travelled to Saint Vincent for a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match on Wednesday night.
The Yellow Jackets fell in straight sets to the Bearcats by the score of 25-17, 25-17, 25-14. The loss dropped the Jackets to 5-5 overall and 1-3 in conference action, while Saint Vincent improved to 9-4 overall and 1-2 in PAC competition.
Senior middle hitter
Lauren Wagner racked up a team-high nine kills to lead the Jacket offense, while junior
Presley Cupp powered the Waynesburg defensive effort with 15 digs. Sophomore
Natalie Ranallo added a team-best 12 assists in the loss.
Waynesburg will look to get back on the winning track tomorrow when the Jackets head back on the road to take on Pitt-Greensburg for a non-conference match. Start time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
