Women's volleyball wins road match at Pitt-Greensburg

Yellow Jackets down Bobcats 3-1

GREENSBURG, Pa. (Sept. 22) – The Waynesburg University volleyball team traveled to Pitt-Greensburg on Thursday night for a road match with the Bobcats.
 
The Yellow Jackets left Greensburg happy with a 4-1 victory over UPG that improved their overall record to 6-5 on the season, while the Bobcats fell to 4-10. Waynesburg took the match by the set scores of 25-14, 21-25, 25-19, 25-16.

Three different Yellow Jackets recorded double-double efforts on the evening. The trio was led by senior middle hitter Lauren Wagner, who racked up a team-high 16 kills and added 13 digs in the win. Senior Jordan Barton also picked up a kills/digs double-double with 12 successful attacks and 15 digs. Sophomore setter Natalie Ranallo also had a big night with a team-best 30 assists and 12 digs.

Junior Presley Cupp paced Waynesburg's defense with a team-high 18 digs.
 
Waynesburg jumps back into Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) on Saturday, when the Yellow Jackets host Bethany and Washington & Jefferson for a home tri-match. The first matchup of the day is scheduled to start at 11 a.m.
