NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. (Oct. 13) – The Waynesburg University women's soccer team locked horns with Westminster College during Saturday's road Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) matchup in New Wilmington. The two teams went back and forth for 110 minutes, with neither finding the back of the net in a 0-0 double-overtime tie.

The Yellow Jackets (7-6-1, 3-1-1) got off to a fast start, out-shooting the Titans (4-7-4, 0-3-2) four-to-one in the first half. Conversely, Waynesburg had to weather a second period that saw Westminster try five shots, to the Jackets' one. After two scoreless regulation periods, the visiting team regained the advantage, when it came to the attack, by taking five shots and not allowing the Titans to make an attempt of their own.

Waynesburg freshman goalkeeper Ciara Scott kept the host team off the scoreboard by stopping all three shots on goal that she faced. While the Jackets held just a slight 10-to-six edge in terms of shots on goal, they attempted seven corner kicks, all in the first half, to the Titans' one corner attempt.

Waynesburg is back in action on Wednesday, Oct. 17, when Geneva comes to John F. Wiley Stadium. Start time of the PAC matchup is scheduled for 6 p.m.
