WASHINGTON, Pa. (Oct. 16) – The Waynesburg University women's tennis team wrapped up its 2012 regular season on Tuesday by completing its match with Washington & Jefferson. W&J built up a 4-3 lead back on Thursday, Oct. 11, and wound up winning the match 5-4.
 
The two teams played out the number-two and number-six singles matches in Washington with the Yellow Jackets' (6-8, 4-5) Alyssa Daniel winning 6-1, 6-1 at the second spot to set up a winter-take-all situation at the sixth spot. Unfortunately, the Presidents (7-4, 6-3) got the win in the final regular-season match of the year for both teams.
 
Waynesburg's focus now turns to the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championships, which begin on Friday, Oct. 19. The two-day event is being hosted by the Pennbriar Athletic Club in Erie, Pa. Play is scheduled to get underway at 8:30 a.m. on Friday.
