Volleyball hosts Saint Vincent for Dig Pink match

Yellow Jackets fall 3-0 to Bearcats

WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Oct. 17) – The Waynesburg University volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision Wednesday night to Saint Vincent in Presidents' Athletic Conference action at the Rudy Marisa Fieldhouse.
 
The Bearcats (10-13, 5-9) took the match by the set scores of 25-14, 25-16 and 25-22 over the host Yellow Jackets (6-17, 1-13), who were led by freshman Kourtney Skinner, who posted a team-high 10 kills. Junior Mabel Culp chipped in nine kills to the night.
 
Senior Carly Smithyman and junior Natalie Ranallo helped out the Waynesburg attack by putting up 14 and 10 assists, respectively, on the evening. The Yellow Jackets were led defensively by freshman Jessica Dorazio, who posted a team-high 21 digs. Senior Presley Cupp contributed 15 digs.
 
The night served as Waynesburg's Dig Pink match. The Yellow Jackets and Bearcats joined forces on the night to raise money for Breast Cancer research and prevention. Waynesburg returns to action Saturday when they travel to Pittsburgh, Pa. to face Chatham in a PAC match. Start time is set for 12 p.m.
