Jacket volleyball team downs Chatham

Waynesburg scores 3-0 road win against Cougars

PITTSBURGH, Pa. (Oct. 20) – The Waynesburg University volleyball team picked up its second win in three matches during Saturday's road trip to Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) rival Chatham. The Yellow Jackets downed Chatham 3-0 in Pittsburgh.
 
Waynesburg (7-17, 2-13) took the contest by the set scores of 25-15, 25-18 and 25-21 over Chatham (0-27, 0-17). Junior Amanda Silay led the Jacket attack with a team-high 15 kills, while senior Carly Smithyman did her part in the victory with 14 assists. Junior Natalie Ranallo chipped in 10 assists of her own. Freshman Jessica Dorazio paced the Waynesburg defense with a squad-high 22 digs, while Silay completed a double-double with 11 digs.
 
The Yellow Jackets will try to keep their winning ways going on Tuesday, Oct. 23, when they come home to host Grove City for another PAC showdown. Start time is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
