GREENVILLE, Pa. (Oct. 27) – The Waynesburg University volleyball team wrapped up the 2012 season on Saturday at Thiel College. The Yellow Jackets fell to the Tomcats by the final score of 3-0. With the loss, the Yellow Jackets finished the year with an overall record of 8-19 and a 3-15 mark in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC).
Waynesburg played a strong first set against the Tomcats (21-7, 15-3) before falling 25-21. Thiel wrapped up the victory with set scores of 25-17 and 25-11. Junior
Amanda Silay led Waynesburg with a team-high seven kills and a squad-best 13 digs. Senior
Carly Smithyman finished her collegiate career with seven assists, while junior
Natalie Ranallo chipped in seven assists of her own.
