Jacket volleyball falls at Westminster

Waynesburg drops3-0 match to Titans

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. (Oct. 4) – The Waynesburg University volleyball team hit the road on Thursday night to take on Westminster in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) matchup. The Yellow Jackets dropped a 3-0 decision to the Titans at Buzz Ridyl Gymnasium.
 
Waynesburg (5-11, 1-7) fell to the Titans (13-7, 7-4) by the set scores of 25-12, 25-18 and 25-21. Junior Mabel Culp and freshman Kourtney Skinner led the Yellow Jacket attack with a team-high eight kills each, while senior Carly Smithyman helped out the offense with a squad-best 10 assists. The Waynesburg defense was paced by senior Presley Cupp, who racked up a Jacket-best 12 digs.
 
The Jackets are back in action on Saturday, Oct .6, when they travel to Saint Vincent College for a PAC tri-match. Waynesburg will square off with the host Bearcats at 11 a.m., before facing Washington & Jefferson 1 p.m.
