Women's volleyball falls on the road

Yellow Jackets can't handle Geneva in 3-0 defeat

BEAVER FALLS, Pa. (Sept. 12) – The Waynesburg University volleyball team hit the road to face the defending Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) champions from Geneva College on Wednesday night. The Golden Tornadoes still looked to be in championship form as they swept the visiting Yellow Jackets 3-0.
 
Geneva (11-1, 4-0) took the match from Waynesburg (2-6, 0-3) by the set scores of 25-17, 25-14, 25-16). It was the third-straight victory for the Golden Tornadoes. Full statistics from the contest will be made available soon.
 
After playing their first eight matches either on the road or at a neutral site, the Yellow Jackets will finally play their first match of the year at the Rudy Marisa Fieldhouse on Saturday. Waynesburg will host PAC opponents Bethany and Chatham for a home tri-match. Start time for a full day of volleyball is set for 11 a.m.
