WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Sept. 15) – Though the final score didn't show it, a young Waynesburg University women's tennis team showed some possible flashes of big things for the future against a powerful Westminster team. The Titans came to Waynesburg and defeated the Yellow Jackets 9-0 on Saturday.
 
The Yellow Jackets (2-3, 1-2) saw freshman number-one singles player Rachel Klemash take a set in her 6-0, 2-6, 6-4 loss to Westminster's (5-0, 3-0) Alex Bailey. Bailey was the 2011 PAC champion at second singles. Sophomore Ellen Limback also won a set in solo action when she dropped a 6-1, 3-6, 6-3 contest to the Titans' Jane Larson at third singles. Larson placed third at the number-three solo spot in the 2011 PAC Championships.
 
Waynesburg will look to rebound from the loss to the Titans on Tuesday, Sept. 18, when Franciscan comes to town for a 4 p.m. match.
