LATROBE, Pa. (Sept. 5) – The Waynesburg University women's tennis team opened up Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) play on Wednesday, when the Yellow Jackets traveled to Saint Vincent to face the Bearcats. The Jackets fell to a tough SVC team 9-0.
Waynesburg (1-1, 0-1) got respectable performances from their number-two and number-three doubles pairs, who put up solid fights against their respective opponents before both following 8-4. Saint Vincent improved to 3-0 on the year and 2-0 in PAC action.
The Jackets return to the courts on Saturday, Sept. 8, when they return to non-conference play with a road match at Goucher (Md.). Start time is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
