OBERLIN, Ohio (Sept. 7) – The Waynesburg University women's soccer team looked in top form on Friday night when it traveled to Oberlin College. The Yellow Jackets peppered the opposing net with shots and got a strong game in net from freshman
Ciara Scott during a 4-0 victory over the Yeowomen.
The Jackets (3-0) got the eventual game winner during the 15
th minute of play as
Natalie Abraham continued a fantastic start to her sophomore season by scoring her team-leading fourth goal of the year after burying a rebound that resulted from a shot by junior
Taylor Augustine. Waynesburg doubled its advantage before halftime thanks to junior
Missy Coleman, who took a feed from freshman Karleigh Murphy and found the back of the net in the 32
nd minute to put the visiting team up 2-0.
The Jackets put the game away early in the second half thanks to Augustine, who headed in a crossing pass from sophomore
Emily Mullady in the 47

While the Waynesburg attack kept the pressure up on the Yeowomen, Scott earned her first collegiate shutout by stopping all seven shots on goal.
The Jackets will look to keep its season-opening winning streak going on Saturday, Sept. 8, when they play their third-straight road game at Hiram. Start time is scheduled for 12:30 p.m.
